I have loved art ever since I can remember...
Abstract art has become an essential part
of my daily life.
This is how the idea for Reveal was born.
My paintings depict beauty of nature, daybreak, nightfall, romance,
peace, tranquillity, imagination, luck and charm in abstraction
woven along with India’s priceless and indigenous art forms.
The collection is a tribute to and revival of these vanishing art forms that
Indians still own with pride and nostalgia such as the Kalamkari,
Madhubani, Tanjore Art, Warli and many more.
Art Unites us.
It provides a common language that resonates among people from
diverse backgrounds and culture, connecting us in ways through beauty,
creativity and artistic vision.
A touch of earth through a smattering of gold, silver, copper and
bronze deliver an air of opulence and sophistication to my works.
Each piece from REVEAL tugs at the viewer, demanding mental attention
and emotional connect, drawing the viewer into a world where
modern day abstraction absorbs and reveals the bygone era of
glory in Indian handicraft, setting the stage for a classic playout of two
equals – modernity and traditionalism.
The collection also features works with 3D effect, paintings
specifically rendered to bring about positive vibes to the
space and the person that owns it. REVEAL unveils 45 of my finest
works.
About Swathi Nahar
A wife, mother, homemaker and socialite all rolled into one. Her delicate
appearance ably conceals a determined mind and her powerful hands.
Swathi stumbled into art to make better use of her time but soon the
hobby became her source and cause of happiness. The realisation that
art came naturally to her nudged her to self-learn more about art, colour
and techniques, and an artist was born. Her ideas are piercing, her
choice of colour, technique and material combinations are stunning.
Swathi lives in Chennai with her husband and two children.
