Rodg to star on the Exclusive Twitch NYE Event: E5CAP3

This New Years Eve, immersive new virtual event E5CAP3 (pronounced escape) will debut exclusively on streaming platform Twitch, with a 24-hour live 3D session, beamed straight to your living room. Promising to be the most extravagant party Twitch has ever seen, E5CAP3 invites you to celebrate the arrival of 2021, every hour, on the hour, around the globe, from the Christmas Islands to Hawaii. 

Hosted by DJ/Producer Rodg, alongside VJ/DJ J1mmy, co-founders of E5CAP3, this brand new epic virtual event will feature guest sets from first rate international DJ’s including Matt Fax, Naz, Ruben de Ronde, Pete K and more.  The acclaimed Rodg, a persistent force in the Armada Music family, will offer one of his legendary marathon sets for the gigantic  24-hour party. The Dutch progressive sensation is preparing for a New Year’s send-off to the sound of his hypnotic mixes. 

Rodg is no stranger to Twitch, and has been sharing DJ sets, demo listening sessions [On Mondays] and music production live-streams with the community since the pandemic closed live music venues down, back in March 2020.  In August, Rodg and longtime friend Ruben de Ronde alongside J1mmy hosted a 24hr live digital stream, which was the world’s first-ever 24hr back-to-back DJ set streamed on Twitch. The set saw a record 20,000+ viewers tune in at the same time, and reached over a 1.6million unique viewers in total. Building on the success of this set, E5CAP3 will be the most extravagant live DJ session Twitch, and the world has ever seen.

E5CAP3’s virtual world will be powered by the BPMFX creative team and 3D artists co-founded by Canadian/Dutch duo J1mmy and Rodg. The 24-hour set will be presented via Twitch Squad mode, where bespoke commands will put viewers in the director’s seat, giving them the ability to control various aspects of the stream; from the stage lights to changing camera angles; To keep things fresh throughout the marathon set, viewers interact with different areas of the virtual venue via the Control Room Stream, where loyal fans will get rewarded with custom visuals or shout outs live during the event. The Twitch live chat window also means that viewers can converse directly with the DJs.

E5CAP3 will stream for 24 hours from 11am (CET) on 31/12/2020  to (12pm (CET) on 01/01/2021. Party goers will be able to join via Twitch twitch.tv/rodgmusic  (all you need is to create an account, it’s free to sign up!)
